My name is Ben Thompson, and golf is my game!
I love golf, I’ve been playing since I was a kid, it become my passion.
I live in Boston Massachusetts, with my wife Sarah, and we have a son and daughter, and Woody the beagle!
From a very early when my dad would take me to his local golf club, I fell in love with the game. The smell of the wet grass in the early morning, the sound your club makes when you hit the sweet spot. The anticipation watching a 20 foot putt roll towards the hole.
When my dad would take us on vacation. Coincidentally, there would always be a golf club close by, and we would take me with him. Mom was never to happy!
As I was growing up, I would be tuning into golf on TV to watch the greats. Seve, Tom, Tiger, Phil. It was something I could share with my dad, we would sit for hours watching and dreaming that one day I would be playing these great courses.
Golf has become such a big part of my life, it’s hard to remember when I didn’t have a golf club in my hand. As the years have past by, I’ve learned much about the game, and I’ve been able to offer advice to friends and colleagues.
I’ve played some of the great courses, St. Andrews, Pebble Beach. I’ve stood in the crowd, and watched Tiger hit one down the fairway. I met the great Seve Ballesteros, and was in the stands at St. Andrews in 2000 when Tiger won the Open.
A few years ago I began to document my journey, and realised I had all this knowledge. Talking with my wife Sarah, she suggested I should put it online and share my knowledge with others, who are beginning their golf journey, and so I started Golfled.
Through everything I’ve learned I want to to take you on the same journey and pass on all my knowledge. Golf has given me a wonderful life, and I want you to share it with you.

My golf tips are aimed at the beginner to amateur golfer. I’ve put together a series of golf tips and information.
The equipment reviews are by my close friend and golf instructor Joel. He is the ideal person to put the equipment through it’s paces.
