However, the Adidas and Puma golf shoes are the best of the rest at less than $100. What they do have is comfort, which for many golfers is essential in a golf shoe. When your walking for around 4 – 5 hours around the course that last thing you need is aching feet.
This is where these shoes come into their own. Being lightweight and made of supple materials, you can be assured you won’t be nursing sore feet.
When comparing the 2 shoes, it’s hard to separate them on comfort, but Adidas do come out on top when you look at stability and traction.
Having spikes rather than Puma’s nubs is important when taking your golf swing. Although nubs are becoming more popular, for the beginner to average golfer I would lean towards spikes.
Having the grip that spikes give you can help you not just off the tee, but also in the weeds, and fairway, and with weather conditions that can change during a round, having the knowledge that your feet are firmly planted is a great advantage.
Of course, having nubs means you can wear them on and off the course easily, and for the golfer who only plays one or twice a month, then the Puma shoes are a good choice.
Although the Adidas has the advantage of being a spiked shoe, the Puma NXT does come in slightly different styles. The main difference being the lace system, such as the Solelace, Disc and Pro.
As for sizing this can be tricky, but half the buyers say that the Puma is a true fit. Whereas over two-thirds say the Adidas is a true fit.
